Our Commitment
Kirby Taylor Homes is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including those who use assistive technology to access the web. We believe everyone deserves access to information about luxury residential construction in Houston, regardless of ability.
Standards We Follow
This website is designed and tested to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The site has been audited against WCAG criteria including:
- Sufficient color contrast for body text and headings (4.5:1 minimum, 7:1 where possible)
- Body text minimum 16 pixels with appropriate line height for readability
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigation throughout all interactive elements
- Descriptive link text and alt attributes for meaningful images
- No reliance on color alone to convey information
Features That Aid Accessibility
We have intentionally designed for older audiences as well as users of assistive technology. Specifically:
- Generous body type sizing (16–18 pixels minimum) for readers using bifocals or progressive lenses
- High-contrast color pairings on every text/background combination
- Forms with explicit labels and clear error messaging
- Phone numbers as both visible text and clickable tel: links for screen reader users
